BIO

I have been in the industry for 20 years and it has not been an easy road. Juggling a career and a hobby you passionate about can leave you at a compromising position at times. It took me some time to get my break, but once I had it, I could not let go thereof. My diversity in music has allowed me to share stages with various dj’s, Festivals, Clubs (Internationally and locally) etc. My main style of music was Deep House but diversity, experience and growth has seen me drop Afro House, Durban House, Gqom Music, Electro, Tech House, Jackin’ House and Naija Music. I’ve been featured at clubs all over South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique and I’ve held residency at Coco CPT and its entities for the past 7 year, I have also been featured in clubs in the UK – London, Glasgow, Copenhagen, Paris, Netherlands, Hong Kong and Dubai. My biggest break is the annual headline residency at the Experimental Festival in Dufftown, Scotland.

My music has been featured on a couple of radio station around South Africa, such as MetroFM, 5FM, Umhlobo Wenene FM, Good Hope FM, Heart FM, KayaFM and international station such as Globalize Yourself Stereo (GYS) by Red Bull, Pioneer DJ Radio (Global), Injection Radio (UK) and various podcasts. I’ve also had the opportunity to been featured by a couple of premium publications such as the GQ Magazine, Destiny Man, Fast Company, Get In Magazine, Top 500, Sunday Times, Skyway and many online publications and blogs such as Bizz Community, IOL, Issuu, Top Billing and many more.

For the last two years, my focus was on producing. I’ve finished a six track project, which is a display of my diversity and the recent love of more electronic, techy and synthesizing sound. The release date will be in February 2021. The lockdown gave me some creative juices and time to pursue as sound that I desire, and the sound that is the future. It has not been an easy road, especially since we cocoon ourselves around genres when we enter the industry. My passion for music saw me leaving the construction industry, in which I worked as a Quantity Surveyor for 8 years, and pursued a career in brand and marketing management. This allowed me an upper hand, where work and play were of the same breath – The ability to be in the driving seat, controlling my own destiny in the ever so changing industry. I’m currently working as one of the global ambassadors for Glenfiddich Whisky. I’ve had the opportunity to play across continents in most of their launches. The focus on the publications has always been the balance between my two worlds and the importance of syncing them – The work and play scenario.
